  • Pups handling procedure
    Please have your pup on a leash prior to giving him/her over to the groomer for safety No grooming will be performed without a pre-signed intake form and release. Please wait for our call or text for pick up. Arrival time may varies dependent on traffics and prior appointment
  • Vaccination/ preventative needed
    All pets must have up-to-date rabies vaccinations on file. Under 16 weeks: Puppy Starter (Parvovirus, Hepatitis, Distemper). Puppies must have completed at least 2 sets of shots before being admitted into the styling salon. 16 weeks and older: All dogs must have their rabies, booster, and Bordetella (kennel cough) shots up to date. Vaccinations must have been administered at least ten (10) days before their scheduled appointment. We may refuse service for failure to comply. AFTER ANY VACCINATIONS, WE REQUIRE 10 DAYS WAIT SO YOUR PETS IMMUNE SYSTEM CAN FULLY RECOVER FROM VACCINATIONS. It is the owner's responsibility to have their pet on a flea/ ticks preventative.
  • New client information
    Please have your pooch on a leash prior to giving him/her over to the groomer for safety. First-time customer must be available on-site to ensure there are proper support for your pup, if needed First-time customers are required to valid credit card on file to schedule their first appointment. It is the owner's responsibility to have their pet on a flea preventative medication. We do not offer full de-matting or hand stripping, all matting will be clipped out. We do not allow owners to stay with their pets in the van while they are being groomed. Our weight limit is 40 lbs. or less Polka Pooch may take pictures of your pet, before and after grooming, for our website and advertising. At Polka pooch, we prioritize the health and well-being of the pets in our care, which is why we require a constant recurring appointment for all our clients' pups within 5 weeks window from last groomed date. This regular schedule allows us to maintain your pet's grooming needs consistently and effectively. If appointments are scheduled later than the recommended time frame and/or is not a recurring appointment, a non-recurring fee will be charged to cover the additional care and attention required. We believe that adhering to this scheduling policy is essential for ensuring the best grooming experience for your beloved pets. Thank you for understanding and valuing the health and happiness of your furry friends. We do reserve the right to refuse service if your pup is overly matted and will refer you to a vet. Work from start to finish usually takes about an hour and a half to two hours. Pricing may vary due to size, the condition of the coat, matting, knots, and length of hair.   • Do you accept new client?
    We are currently accepting new clients. Acceptance are base on current schedule, route, and the volume. New pups weight limit is 40lbs and under. Please contact us via text or email to get more information.
  • Scheduling/Rescheduling/Cancellation/No show policy
    Scheduling is based on the route of the day. We will give you list of dates and will confirm with an appointment time a week beforehand. Cancellation or Rescheduling must be made at least 72 business hours in advance via phone call or text message. Failure to do so will result in a cancellation fee of $70. There is a 20-minute courtesy window when we arrive. If we are unable to begin our work within the courtesy window, it is considered a no-show / Same day Cancellation will incur 100% charge fee. No-show / Same day Cancellation will incur 100% charge fee. 1st-time clients with late cancellations/no-shows will not be eligible for another appointment. This helps keep our small family business running efficiently. Thank you for understanding and respecting our time!
  • SAFETY AND DOG BEHAVIOR
    Clients must inform us prior to grooming if their pet has bitten someone or has aggressive tendencies. Polka pooch will not accept any aggressive dog. If false representations about the pet’s behavior were made when asked during the booking of an appointment, we will discontinue services and the Client will still be responsible for the full grooming charge. Clients will be liable for any bites or any property damage caused by their pet(s). For Groomer’s safety as well as your pets, Polka Pooch has the right to refuse service in the event of a pet that cannot be handled safely.
